Three Brand-New Double-Deck Buses for Weavaway Travel Group

There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a client’s vision come to life. Especially when it rolls out of our workshop looking sharp and ready for the road. The first of three brand-new double-decker buses left our facility yesterday, custom-built for Weavaway Travel Group.

This project started when Simon, the owner of Weavaway, reached out with a very specific request. He wanted to transform the rear of his new fleet with a bespoke luggage racking system – but not just any installation. The goal was to achieve a finish that looked like it came straight from the factory – OEM quality, but custom made. That’s where the BDC team came in.

Our engineers and designers got straight to work, crafting a smart and flexible solution that not only looks the part but performs brilliantly too. Here’s what we delivered:

✅ A sleek OEM look and feel that blends seamlessly with the rest of the bus
✅ Clever use of the original seat fixing points—no unnecessary drilling or changes
✅ A fully reversible design – meaning the bus can be converted back to passenger seating if needed
✅ A custom partition wall with a lockable sliding door, adding security and structure
✅ And of course, we finished it off with full external graphics, keeping the branding sharp and professional

This kind of project is a perfect example of what we love doing at BDC – working closely with operators to create tailored solutions that combine solid engineering with standout aesthetics.

Whether it’s a full interior refit, a custom partition, or smart use of space for luggage or equipment, we design everything with the end-user and long-term flexibility in mind.

Do you run a private hire bus or coach company? Got something a bit out of the ordinary in mind? We’re always up for a challenge and would love to chat about how we can bring your ideas to life.
