We offer a one-stop shop for vehicle conversions of any size, at our dedicated engineering works in Blackpool, Lancashire.
With some of our team having worked in coachbuilding for over 40 years, we’re proud to keep alive the long tradition of the highest quality bus and coachbuilding skills long associated with this area of the North West.
Our team were responsible for designing the ultra modern fleet of double decker buses in use in central Singapore. As well as creating the Computer Aided Design for the Singapore bus fleet, constructed using the latest fuel saving aluminium and GRP technology, all of the production moulds were produced here in our Lancashire workshop and shipped to the far east for the vehicle build.
From our design office and coach engineering works in Blackpool we keep alive the long tradition and worldwide reputation for the highest quality bus and coach building skills long associated with this area of the North West. Linked with this tradition of fine craftsmanship, BDC has an in-house team of highly professional and experienced engineering designers who use the latest technology and engineering design from the commercial vehicle industries.

GRP bus fronts, one piece bus roofs and other components are created in our workshops using moulds produced in-house.

Within our BDC workshop your bespoke design will be transformed into stunning reality; latest computer technology, lighting and furniture design, work stations, play stations, giant flat-screens, air-conditioning and heating, mp3 mixers, CCTV, medical support equipment, hi-tech vending can all go into creating the WOW factor for your end users. Recent user groups have varied from inner-city unemployed teenagers to managers undergoing computer systems training. Two totally different designs but each absolutely focused on creating a great environment to ensure an immediate impact.
Our recent design and build projects include youth, community and safe haven vehicles, ranging in size from a Mercedes Sprinter Van to single and double deck full size buses and coaches.
Budget pressure?
BDC staff with their history in the bus and coach industry can source a suitable second hand vehicle for your conversion. An independent engineer will inspect the vehicle and give you a certificate confirming its suitability for conversion to a specialist vehicle.
